Firs Farm is a traditional Grade II listed, early 19th-century farm house with adjoining stone barns that date back even further, to the 14th century. We have three individually designed bedrooms, a guest lounge and dining room.
Set in a peaceful location within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with unspoilt views across the valley and up to the heather moors, our Bed and Breakfast is conveniently situated within three miles of the market town of Masham in Lower Wensleydale, with easy access for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
Whether you want to set off walking from the door to explore Colsterdale and the moors, go further afield to discover more of the scenery and picturesque villages of the Yorkshire Dales, or just relax and unwind, we are sure you will find Firs Farm Bed and Breakfast the perfect base.

Our rooms have been designed and furnished to a high standard, incorporating both luxury and comfort, making them relaxing places to unwind after a day’s sightseeing or walking in North Yorkshire’s amazing countryside.
Wonderful Views
Firs Farm is situated on the south facing side of the Colsterdale Valley. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are ideally situated to take advantage of the wonderful views.
Breakfast
Including tea, coffee, fruit juice, porridge and cereals, with a choice of full, traditional North Yorkshire Breakfast or Continental Breakfast. We use quality locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, and our eggs are produced by our own free-range hens.

All bookings must be accompanied by a deposit equal to your first night’s stay.
This can be taken over the phone by bank transfer or via our website.
Final payment is accepted by credit/debit card or cash. We do not take cheques.
If you need to cancel your stay, please advise us as soon as possible, at least 7 days before your arrival for a full refund. If you cancel within 7 days, we will refund you if we are able to re-let the room, or you can rebook for another date.
We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover for unexpected cancellations.
We will only cancel your accommodation in exceptional circumstances, and a full refund will be given.
We love dogs, dogs are part of our life on Firs Farm, and they are very welcome on the understanding that guests bring well-behaved dogs, which are not allowed on the furniture or beds, nor in the dining room. Please do not leave them in the bedroom unattended.
We would also remind guests that we have livestock on the farm, so would be grateful if you would keep your dog under control, or on a lead. We can show you where to exercise your dog.
If your dog does do any damage, we hope that you accept that it is reasonable to ask you to cover the cost of the damage. We can provide you with a water bowl in the bedroom and are more than happy to supply you with dog towels and a dog bed if necessary. Please let us know if you wish to bring your dog with you.
There is a £10 per night charge.
As we are in a rural location and there is only one taxi firm in Masham, we suggest that if you know you would like a taxi, you book it before you arrive.
